For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a passion to invest in people to become everything they can be. The main way I’ve been able to do that—so far—is by helping entrepreneurs and leaders to grow their companies through business development and marketing.
As business development manager for the hospitality sector at The Urban List—an online curated guide of the best places to eat, drink and book in Brisbane—I had the privilege to get alongside café, restaurant and bar owners to help them identify their point of difference and ideal demographic and to create effective marketing strategies to increase revenue. At the same time, I loved the opportunity to be part of an exciting start-up—led by a talented and courageous entrepreneur—to disrupt a challenging market.
After The Urban List, I embarked on a new challenge—to invest in the entrepreneurs and leaders of tomorrow by running a youth outreach at one of the largest churches in Australia. Finally, I arrived here at New Word Order where I again have the privilege to get alongside entrepreneurs and leaders to create marketing strategies to increase revenue.
In 2011 I married Liz and we dream of owning a shar pei dog, a persian cat and multiple cockatoos. We love travelling together and trying new cafes and restaurants. German food is my favourite. I enjoy spending my Saturday mornings reading a great book—particularly a biography or autobiography of an entrepreneur—over a quality coffee. I love watching and playing all sports, especially football. I support Manchester United in the English Premier League and am always counting down to the next World Cup. I also love playing and listening to music, and have been known to over-play John Mayer, Coldplay and Justin Timberlake.
