The Department of Housing and Public Works collaborates with Micah Projects to create awareness about homelessness.
We created the Home for Good campaign on a tight budget to raise community awareness, motivate volunteers to get involved and – very importantly – provide dignity and hope to people in the community who sleep rough.
Using our in-house photography and art direction skills, we shot a series of images with familiar landmarks in the background. Each illustrated a simply dressed focal image, such as a park bench or an alleyway, and each photo was used in black and white with effective spot colour. This way, we were able to convey the emotion and reality connected with sleeping rough.
With more than a decade of experience in working with Queensland Government visual identity, we were able to create a unique identity for these advertisements while adhering carefully to the brand limitations.
